This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Alisha Pomeroy who was born in Louisiana on March 24, 1987 and passed away on November 30, 2002 at the age of 15. We will remember her forever.
Alisha is the daughter of Angela Langston Pomeroy Barker and Ricky Dale Pomeroy. She is also the step-daughter of Lee Barker and Karen Pomeroy. She has one half-sister - LeeAnna Barker, and six step-brothers - Kevin, Sammy, Travis, and Carl Barker - Brandon and Jason Ashford.
Alisha was a freshman at Live Oak High School in Watson, Louisiana, when she was killed in a one-vehicle accident. One of her best friends was driving. It was just a freak accident. She was the only person that got killed, out of four people. When my friend called to tell us that she had died I could literally feel my heart break in two. It hurt so much, but not as bad as having to live without her for the rest of my life. To this day my heart still aches for her and I'm sure it always will. I think of her every single day.
Alisha is also a born-again Christian. I thank God everyday for letting her be ready to meet him.

And God Said
I said, God I hurt
And God said, I know
I said, I cry alot
And God said, That's why I gave you tears
I said, Life is so hard
And God said, That's why I gave you loved ones
I said, But my loved one died!!
And God said, So did mine!!
I said, It's such a great loss!!
And God said, I saw mine nailed to a cross!!
I said, But your loved one lives!!
And God said, So does yours!!
I said, Where is he now??
And God said, My Son is by my side and
Your Alisha is in my arms!!

Alisha Is At Rest
Alisha is now at rest
For a safer place she remains
A world of goodness and beauty
A world without worry or pain.
Nor fear will she encounter
For a better place she'll be
A place where the sick are healed
And the blinded eyes can see.
Our world has forever changed
Our lives are not the same
But close within our hearts
Her precious face remains.
We give to her our tears
And our prayers we send above
We cherish all the memories
Filled with happiness and love.
She'll have someone to depend on
A helping hand is there to lend
For the Father shall be watching
And in heaven, she'll have a friend.

I Hear Each Tear Fall On Her Face
My Mom doesn't know I'm watching her
But I'm watching her just the same.
And I hear each tear fall on her face
At the very mention of my name.
She says it sounds like music to her ears
And can be heard over a crowd.
Oh, I hear each tear fall on her face
When my name is said aloud.
I watch her stumble through each day
As she wishes the day would end.
And I hear each tear fall on her face
As she talks of me to her friends.
But there are few who truly understand.
Oh this I've heard her proclaim.
And I hear each tear fall on her face.
Will my Mom ever be the same?
I know that her smiles light up a sky.
But I don't see that smile today.
Oh, but I hear each tear fall on her face.
Her blue skies have turned to gray.
Oh I send to her my warmest hug
With the rays of the morning sun.
Then, I won't hear a tear fall on her face.
For I shall erase them one by one.
Yes, my Mom doesn't know I'm watching her.
But I'm watching her just the same.
And if I hear a tear fall on her face
I'll just softly whisper her name!
